Joseph Bonugli (b. April 4, 1991) was rumored to have suffered a potential season-ending injury in the spring, which would be pretty tough luck considering he already used his redshirt year in 2009.

If that redshirt was due to injury, he has a chance at being granted an NCAA medical hardship waiver, but it's far from a given. For that reason, one hopes that he can bounce back and contribute later on in the season.

Bonugli was rated the 50th-best safety in the class of 2008 by Rivals.com and amassed 194 total tackles during his last two seasons in high school. If healthy, he looks to have a solid chance at entering the three-deep at safety.
