Brandon Klimek (b. Oct. 21, 1989) has kicked as many field goals (one) in a real game at the college level as he did in high school, strangely enough.
Yet he appears to be our best hope should Anthony Cantele go down for any reason.
Klimek did not attempt a kick in 2010, but he converted a 46-yarder against Texas A&M in 2009. He also knocked in two extra points against Tennessee Tech that season.
In the 2011 spring game, Klimek connected from 45 and 46 yards, but strangely, he missed from 30. Perhaps his erratic tendencies are due partly to his inexperience.
He only hit one field goal in high school, after all.
