The race to be K-State's starting running back continues to intrigue me, as only a race for a starting position when practices are closed to the public can. Today, the Mercury has a story about Angelo Pease contributing right away.

Frank Martin does not favor paying college athletes. Also, if you're not following him on Twitter, then I hope that means you're just not on Twitter.

Even if there hasn't been a lot of talk about it recently, the wheels are still moving on the Texas A&M-to-the-SEC train. Barring cold feet on either side (and, because we've told A&M that the SEC has chocolate in its pockets, I don't expect cold feet out of A&M), or intractable legal issues, it sounds like A&M probably is bound for the SEC. Who will be the SEC's 14th team?

The Longhorn Network will not be allowed to show highlights of high-school football games. Where's the next envelope to push for TLN?
