Yes, I know this is a repeat, but I thought it was worth updating Tyler Lockett's profile in light of his new bio, number and photo. Also, the young man has grown an inch and gained 10 pounds since I wrote this entry.

Remember this guy? And this guy?

Well, get ready for the third installment of the trilogy — Kevin's son and Aaron's nephew, Tyler Lockett (b. Sept. 28, 1992), is headed to a Manhattan campus near you this fall.

Tyler has been described as a combination of his father's uncanny pass-catching abilities, and his uncle's build, speed and shiftiness — all of which make him a perfect candidate to be Tramaine Thompson's understudy.

Tyler might redshirt this season in order to add weight and learn the playbook, but he's making enough noise in fall camp that it's far from a foregone conclusion.

If he does redshirt, though, then starting with the 2012 spring game, I expect him to have an explosive impact on the Cats' offense.

He and Thompson will make a truly dangerous deep-threat duo for the 2-3 seasons they'll play together, I predict.
