Truly fantastic.
And even better with the full context:
Michael Irvin revolutionizes Sandstorm
Irvin’s fist pumping is legendary.
Thanks should go to edsbs...

and there was much rejoicing.
i think i may have been even more pessimistic than KSB on this.
screw this, I should be sleeping anyway.
Not sure if anyone else has noticed lately, but
KSB is seeing the brighter side of things these days.
Perhaps some good things are happening. Or maybe there are just no KSU sports to drive us all nuts.
he's just happy Klein is the starting QB!

I don't understand this at all
But I’m happy to take the win and get back to bitching about A&M.
Of the things they were accused of doing,
there was only a paper trail to the dinner (I think), but nothing to the alleged strip club and all that.

Right.
The only thing confirmed that AB or BB “benefitted” from was the lunch. And that was a seven person lunch for $550. The rest, while likely true, lacks the material evidence and comes from a source who is in jail for his skill at lying.
Gonna be honest here:
I think the NCAA is just punting with the involved players here, and aiming all barrels at the U.
The Wiki (I Don't Have a Real Name Yet) -- The Blog (Those Other Guys) -- The Twitter
I agree.
The NCAA has so many things on its plate at this point, the resources probably aren’t there to even care about violations at the level of the Browns (Arthur, particularly). In a slower time, Arthur probably would have been hit with 2-3 games. Bryce, 0-1.

They already sat 13 games apiece.
I think the NCAA’s stance is that transferring is like baptism. All sins are washed away and thou are reborn.
The signed dollar bills might come out as evidence.

So...
Since the Brown’s didn’t receive punishment, then what does that mean for the handful of current starters on Miami’s team now?

I think if you're still at Miami, you may be in trouble...
If you left, you were one step ahead of the jailer. Of course, that depends on the severity of the offense committed, and Arthur and Bryce’s offenses were very minor in nature.
If the school that they transferred to didn’t know about these offenses, and they can prove that, it’s really hard to penalize the school for the crimes of the player.

From what I read on Ubben's Blog
They are excempt from punishment because they transferred. If that’s true, I’ve got a huge problem with that logic.

does the fact they both say out a year already have anything to do with it??

It shouldn't since they redshirted
But here’s the statement from the Wichita Eagle:
“Based on current NCAA legislation, the ruling is what you would expect,” said B. David Ridpath, a professor of sports administration at Ohio. “So is the timing. Violations like these don’t follow you from school to school. As transfer students, there really is no way to punish them.”
……
“I can’t think of a case where violations have followed a kid to a new school,” Ridpath said earlier Wednesday, before K-State’s announcement.“… That usually doesn’t happen. It’s almost like a get-out-of-jail free card.”

Although I don't agree with that either,
it’s no worse than coach’s leaving just before the hammer falls and getting away with it. In my opinion, if a coach has knowledge of, or instigates a major violation, (including lying to the NCAA, i.e. Tressel) they should be banned for life from any affiliation with college athletics.
Absolutely
That goes for players, coaches, administrators, etc.
