#22 Zach McFall |
Position: Wide Receiver Previous College: Fort Scott Community College Projection: Third-String Status: Walk-On |
Zachery Ryan McFall (b. June 14, 1990) is a bit of a dark-horse candidate to be in the three-deep at wide receiver, but based on his progression in late 2010 and spring 2011, I feel comfortable making the prediction.
After redshirting in 2008, McFall was a starter in 2009 for the Greyhounds, finishing with 12 receptions for 206 yards for the conference champions. His longest catch was 39 yards.
He played sparingly last season, appearing in only two games, but he came on down the stretch. His best game by far was the shootout with the Mean Green in Denton, Texas, where he caught two passes for 12 yards.
McFall built upon that performance by starting for the White team in the spring game and catching three passes for 33 yards, with a long of 20. It doesn't seem like much of a stretch to suggest that he will see some playing time this fall.
