McGruder to Compete in European All-Star Tour
First Spradling, now McGruder. Let's hope these trips pay off in some polish for our team leaders!
(And certainly let's not remember that last year's Europe sojourners were Nick Russell and Jamar Samuels — hardly endorsements for the benefits of such trips to a team.)

I hate that guy.
Innovators look at the same thing as everyone else, yet see something different.

Pullen and Sutton
were the first European travelers. And we got at least 50% return on that one. Maybe Jamar will be that 50% this time… And hopefully we can get 100% out of the ones this summer!
There's a clear pattern here.
Frank doesn’t just send any player on these trips. He sends the guys he hopes will be the leaders and most improved players on the team. It’s a vote of confidence from Frank and when they don’t take full advantage of the privilege Frank doesn’t have much patience for them.
Jake became a legend, Dom was sent packing.
Jamar is now in the doghouse, Nick was sent packing.
I have a good feeling Sprads and McGruder will take full advantage.
But as much as a Nick Russell apologist I was, looking back on last season it’s pretty clear to see guy’s got chances – Nick, Wally, Freddy. About the only one who I can’t justify no longer being on the team is Juevol. And I have no idea if he was a hard worker in practice or not.
I think this program is building a real identity – and if that’s having guys who play as hard as any team in the country, that’s a pretty fun team to watch.
