Kick Times Set for First Two Football Games
Kansas State athletics officials have set kick times for the Wildcats’ first two football games.
Both the K-State Family Reunion against Eastern Kentucky and the Kent State games will carry 6 p.m. start times at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

First game, not so much since there will be fireworks.
Second game, yes. Snyder doesn’t like late games. I can only guess this fits a reserved TV time slot.

I know Snyder's feelings
But as long as I’ve been going to games having two no name non-cons at 6 in early Sept. is nothing out of the norm. I believe it’s borderline athletics department policy, due to the heat and reducing the number of fans/players/coaches ending up health issues related to the heat.
