Tyler Davidson (b. July 19, 1991) is a high school prospect I'm pretty high on, but not for this season.

A candidate for a redshirt* who already grayshirted last season, which allowed him to gain weight and arrive in time for spring practice, Davidson factors more into our plans for after Travis Tannahill graduates next year.

With an extra season to do nothing but lift, one can imagine Davidson packing quite a bit of weight onto his frame.

The best thing about him, though, is that he desperately wanted to be a Wildcat. He practically begged Bill Snyder for a scholarship two years ago when he still was living in Colorado.

And that commitment stuck even when he moved to Tulsa, in the middle of Cowboy and Sooner country. I love kids like that.

*Logging no statistics in a spring game is a pretty good indicator of an impending redshirt season.
