Winter Named to Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame
Former Kansas State head basketball coach Tex Winter was among 10 individuals announced Monday to the 2011 class of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Winter is the third person with K-State ties to be named to the Naismith Hall of Fame, following his coaching mentor Jack Gardner, who was elected in 1984, and former player Bob Boozer, who was a part of the 1960 U.S. Olympic Team elected in 2010.

Cool. Just Plain Cool.
I hope he’s able to attend in person and enjoy the moment.
If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself.
