Think of this as a bit of an open-thread Slate. I'll be editing the main text periodically, as I find stories worth reading. I also may pull links you post in the comments up into the main Slate. I apologize for the late Slate today.

The hardware keeps rolling in for Jake. He's going to be in a 3-point contest that will be aired on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. Thursday. He will also play in an all-star game to be aired live on truTV at 4:35 p.m. Friday. You just thought you were done with commercials for shows about pawn shops and repo agents!

Jake was also named to the John R, Wooden All-American men's team.

After going 2-7 over their past nine games, the BatCats were in desperate need of a victory. They got one -- albeit over Northern Colorado, but still, it's a win. The BatCats record now stands at 14-9 (1-5).
