So I watched the K-State women lose today to another Big 10 foe in Purdue. They got off to a horrible shooting performance in the first half and Purdue ran out to a 8 pt lead at half. But just as Pullen had to carry the load so did Chambers scoring 18 in the contest. The only other player to contribute key offense was Karr with 14. Starting the second half KSU went to a pressure defense which led to many Purdue turnovers and a K-State comeback and eventual lead. But the Lady Cats just could not stop the Boilermakers in the end from getting to the line and culling the early half deficit into a lead of their own. At this point, KSU only looked for Chambers, turned the ball over repeatedly and ultimately were outmatched and outcoached by Purdue. Sounds all to familiar if you ask me. The one point I would stress is that at least the officiating seemed very neutral in the contest unlike in the men's contest.
