Jordy Nelson Preps for Super Bowl XLV
Kansas State fans will have the opportunity to watch one of the school’s all-time greats during Super Bowl XLV, when Jordy Nelson and the Green Bay Packers square off against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Nelson will become one of 18 former Wildcats to play in the biggest game in football, and one of 13 coached by Bill Snyder.

Jordy Nelson:
The only reason why I don’t completely hate the Packers.

I'm going to guess...
he is a fan of the Chicago Bears.
This is based solely on the fact that he is a member of the SBnation blog-site for both the Chicago Bears and the Bulls.

Well now
that’s just cheating! But seems quite accurate.

Nope, I haven't adopted the Texas teams yet.
The Bears are the only team from home (Chicago) that I follow.

That settles that
then!
Only a Kansas State tie could overcome our NFL opposing-allegiances… :-)

K-State sports, well football and basketball, are the only true teams I root for.
I’ve always been a Bears fan, but I haven’t lived in Chicago since 2002 so it’s hard to follow them – especially when they aren’t winning.

Not really.
You can never ever really be sure on an extent of an injury like that so it’s almost all speculation (outside of the stair-gate story, etc.).
The Bears would have never been in the NFC championship game without him anyway.

The only one I know off the top of my head
Ryan Lilja was on the Colts’ championship team.

For the research geeks
how about finding out if the NFL has ever had TWO players in the league at the same time from a hometown with as small a population as Riley, KS. The 2000 census showed Riley with a population of 886. Jordy Nelson and Jon McGraw (Cheifs) both played in the NFL for the last several years. I doubt we’ve ever seen anything close to this as far as two players in the league at the same time from such small towns.
oh hail the Purple and White
Not to mention
that the two both went to the same university!

Jordy Nelson Could be big says ESPN. He’s the tallest of GB’s starters…
Along those lines, Jordy gets some interesting prop bets (The most attention I paid to a Super Bowl is when I place $40 dollars worth of bets online one year…)

screw this, I should be sleeping anyway.

I'm so proud of this guy!
He played his heart out, played extremely well, and — in my purple-tinted glasses at least — was one of the major reasons Green Bay won the Super Bowl!
