RPI WATCH: 2/24/2011

Adios, Nubbies. See you ... hopefully, never again.

A good-quality road win in conference play that eliminated a rival from serious NCAA Tournament consideration wasn't the only factor resulting in K-State's RPI and SOS boost.

Also advantageous were Duke's demolition of Temple, UNLV's crucial overtime win at New Mexico (its finest performance of the season, IMO), Colorado's victory at Texas Tech (which should keep the Buffaloes in the RPI top 100 a bit longer), Missouri throwing the last bit of dirt on Baylor's grave and Texas A&M's ho-hum win over Oklahoma.

And kudos to Emporia State for getting back above .500 in MIAA play with a win against Washburn in T-Town.
