RPI WATCH: 2/15/2011
Could Monday night possibly have been more perfect?
Aside from the glaringly obvious — the unexpected, thrilling and cathartic return of the Doom — K-State also will receive RPI and SOS boosts from Texas Southern, which is running away from the SWAC pack, and Savannah State, which won an equally thrilling road game in overtime.
Sure, Alcorn State lost, but the Hornets suck so bad they barely register on my radar. Don't sweat it.
And for the Huggins haters among us (KSB, I'm looking at you), the prelude to our glory was West Virginia's third loss in its last four games — and the one win was at home against woeful DePaul. I'm sure you're jazzed about that.

Huggins Hate will wear off soon enough I think.
When he first left I hated him, but as the program succeeds with Frank it’s tough not to acknowledge that things wouldn’t be this way without Huggins changing the culture and bringing in that ridiculous recruiting class.
Bracket, the RPIs aren’t updated right? Would find it hard to believe we’re at 40 after last night’s win.
I still want him to lose
every game he coaches. And to never coach at any school I would like to see win NCAA basketball games.
That is the extent of my anti-Huggins.

Processing RPI updates now.
Here’s a sneak peek: RPI rose from 40 to 32 and SOS rose from 17 to a whopping 8.
Booyah.
I don't mind seeing Alcorn St
having lost – it’s to our long lost 2nd-fav’s, those Golden Lions of UAPB with that stellar logo! I still like to see those road warriors win games (not against TxSo this year though).

Hey Bracket
Do you think you can give a record against top-50 opponents as well in your run down? That seems to be the standard most outlets use to define teams.
Surgeon General's Warning: K-State-Mizzou basketball may increase the risk of high blood pressure. Please consult your doctor prior to watching any of these games.
Hornets???
Are you referring to Alcorn State? They are the Braves. The only reason I know this is because my roommate is an Alcorn State alum. The funny part is that even he was cheering for KSU when we watched that game. :)
I would simply guess
slip up confusing Emporia State (the Hornets) with equally unimportant-to-the-RPI Alcorn State…

D'oh!
Must have had Alabama State on my mind instead, for some reason.
