RPI WATCH: 12/2/11

Stay connected for news and updates

K-State experienced a significant RPI boost due to its quality win over George Washington, from 90 to 28.

Apparently, actually playing games helps.

Also significant in that increase were wins by Charleston Southern and UMES.

Meanwhile, Virginia Tech and Alabama suffered disappointing Challenge losses at Minnesota and to Georgetown, respectively, by a total of five points.

And Big 12 opponents went 4-1 in the past few days, with the only exception being Iowa State's inexplicable loss at home to Northern Iowa. If Iowa beats them, the Cyclones officially will be the worst team in the state.

Overall Record = 4-0

Big 12 Record = 0-0

RPI = 28

SOS = 138

Signature Wins (RPI 1-30) = none

Quality Wins (RPI 31-100) = George Washington

Bad Losses (RPI 101 or greater) = none
