This is what were fighting for. We need this in our trophy case.

It's amusing they got our facemask wrong for that pic.

Probably borrowed a similar helmet from a local high school freshman

That's one darn good looking trophy
it would look good at the Vanier Complex
oh hail the Purple and White
I agree, that is a very sharp looking trophy.

Access to Vanier Complex?
Since the Vanier Complex has the reputation for being almost as secure as Ft. Knox, does anyone know if it is ever opened to the public so the trophy case, etc., can be seen by the public?
Seems like that growing hardware section should be on display, now and then.

Don't hold me to this but
I think that acess to the north endzone seats are through the Vanier Complex and they showed on TV that you would pass right by the trophy case
Don't think this is correct.
I believe you get to the north endzone seats by walking down the ramp to the east of them (the same ramp the band walks in on).
But I’ve not sat in the north endzone since like 1997.

That would be pretty cool,
but there are plenty of reasons to not let the general public enter the north endzone through Vanier.
Think about the weather for the ISU game. Probably wouldn’t be a good idea for soaked people to be walking through the nice lobby dripping water all over the place.
Also, the front doors to Vanier are where players’ families meet the players after the games are over.
But to answer the question about if the trophy room is open to the general public, I don’t have an answer. I don’t think we have a trophy room like I have seen on tv for Texas and USC and those “storied” programs (I assume those are places where general public can walk through, but maybe not).

What happened to the bloom of cotton?
Wish that was still in there somewhere. Unless this is a DNA string of cotton…I might get behind that.

I just noticed this
Is that Cowboy Stadium at the bottom that the “DNA string” is growing out of? At first I thought it was a football (which doesn’t make sense)
So, are there any other bowl trophies that incorporate the stadium in which the contest takes place? Interesting.

I just realized something,
If those helmets are standard size then that trophy is like 3 1/2-4 feet tall, I haven’t seen a ton of trophies up close but that seems pretty big.
