RPI WATCH: 11/30/11

In the wake of the Thanksgiving tournaments, it was a bit of a boring midweek stretch, other than the beginning of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Highlights included West Virginia's quality win over an Akron team that earlier won at Mississippi State; Clemson winning at Iowa and UTEP losing at Oregon, the confluence of which leads me to believe Clemson will dispatch UTEP easily in the Diamond Head Classic; and Xavier's resume-building win at Vanderbilt.

Also, congratulations to Baylor for wrapping up its third consecutive SWAC championship. The Bears now will travel Sunday to Northwestern for their first road non-conference game in more than two years. God, I hate Scott Drew.
