Assuming things go well from here, but K-State doesn't make a BCS bowl, what Big 12 bowl game would you prefer to see the Cats play in?
As a reminder, the order of selection after BCS bowls (according to Wikipedia) is:
1. Cotton Bowl (vs. SEC)
2. Alamo Bowl (vs. Pac-12)
3. Insight Bowl (vs. Big Ten)
4. Holiday Bowl (vs. Pac-12)
5. Texas Bowl (vs. Big Ten)
6. Pinstripe Bowl (vs. Big East)
My personal preference would be the Alamo Bowl. I know the Cotton Bowl is more prestigious, but I'd say San Antonio is a nicer destination. And the matchup could be much more favorable in the Alamo Bowl. If Oregon and Stanford go to BCS bowls, the best record of possible opponents would be 7-5 (someone from among Washington, Cal, UCLA, Arizona State, or Utah). The middle of the Pac-12 is not very good. Meanwhile, the SEC team in the Cotton Bowl will probably be Arkansas, unless LSU somehow loses in the SEC championship game, in which case Alabama comes into play.
