Happy Franksgiving from Arkansas!
Down here with grand-in-laws.
Being down here reminds me of the time when we went to a Razorback game in Little Rock. K-State should do something like that, have some home games in Wichita. That would help us lock up the Wichita market perhaps…

How about this?

The Cats are also playing Alabama in KC too.

I was meaning in Football...
Since WSU doesn’t have a football program.
Though I don’t think Wichita has a sufficient quality football stadium like Little Rock does to host a D-1 football game.
Maybe they do, though, I know nothing about the stadium situation in Wichita.
For that matter, I can’t remember just how big the Little Rock stadium was either.

I just can't see it, Snyder hated moving the Iowa State games to a half empty Arrowhead
And I it would just suck to lose a home game from Manhattan, and remember Manhattan is close to 2 major K-State hot beds (Kansas City/Johnson County and Topeka/Manhattan) and all of the fans that come to Manhattan for home games pump $100,000’s if not $1,000,000’s if not into the local economy. Manhattan and Riley county can’t afford to let a game get pushed into Wichita and Sedgwick county.
$2.1MM per game.
When life hands you lemons, make grape juice. Let them wonder how the F*ck you did it.
Fight till Hell freezes over and then fight them on the ice.
I can't see Snyder going for it either.
And I don’t think it will ever happen.
But I just thought it was a cool idea and I would support it myself.

There is only 8 miles difference from Manhattan to JoCo than to Wichita.
A dead heat distance wise. No need to feature a game there.
The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will. - Vince Lombardi
It is only 190 miles from Fayettville to Little Rock. (130 from Manhattan to Wichita)
It’s not about the distance, per se. It’s about trying to appeal to the whole state and be the de facto official state program for football.
Sure, economically it isn’t great for Manhattan. But it would be good for Wichita, and I’m sure Wichita residents would appreciate that (more so that KCMO residents at Arrowhead, probably).
Still, though, I’m not trying to make any economic arguments here. I just like the fan-friendliness of the concept. In a sports world were all the decisions are about financial considerations (or so it seems) it is nice to see something like this that is more about the fans than the money.
I know that some Fayettville bi-wigs have been making noise about trying to move all the home games to Fayettville (for all the reasons everyone here has listed for not giving up any home games in Manhattan), but so fare they have been unsuccessful.

Went ahead and looked it up.
War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock (the secondary home stadium for the Razorbacks) has a 54,000 capacity according to Wikipedia after 2010 renovations.
Cessna Stadium in Wichita can hold 30,000 according to the Wichita State website.
So probably not enough for “big-time” college football.

fyi Cessna stadium holds 35,000
it’s way out of date, way out of code…makes no sesne to be on someone else’s campus. It works in Arkansas, where there’s a flagship school for the state, but it’s just not the same here in KS.
"Nor yet in Dell?"
See above.
I still think it is a cool idea.
