Dear DFW friends...
Let me first start by saying, sweet school colors. I don't know why I think it looks so sharp, but there's something about that color combo I'm partial to. I need not worry about warning you about 3 of our schools, as I think your history books have plenty of experience with Baylor, Texas Tech and UT. I hear your your enrollment is 9500, and you don't fill up your soon to be newly renovated 46,000 seat stadium. Big deal. I'm guessing with my team's alumni base in your backyard will help, and everyone from the KS-OK stateline border will find getting to Amon Carter via I-35 with the exception of that one shitty 1 lane exit in OKC easy.
I personally grew up in Wichita, KS and if I still lived there would be stoked to be within a 5 hour drive of Kstate, KU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU and who knows maybe even Mizzou still. Extend that to a 7 hour window and I'm hitting Baylor and Ames from Wichita. I'm guessing your 5 hour window hits just as many teams extending up to Stillwater.
I've been jealous of you the past 8 years, as you see since 2003, there was only a fluke season in 2007, and a weird bowl team in 2010 with the nations worst defense that I had working in my favor. In fact there was a time that I thought I was getting your coach. And believe me I peed my pants a lot that day. I've vicariously at times worn your purple shades. Like when College gameday was on campus when Utah rolled into town. See I used to have that. Granted, I think I'm getting it back, so things are good.
I just thought I'd drop you a line and say "welcome". Glad to have ya, and you deserved it. I know you Texans like your hand signals so I'll give you one of these today and today only:
