Bowl projections around the Big 12 after week 8 games.
BCS National Championship: Oklahoma State- I must say I was not a believer in the cowboys national championship exasperation, but after they shut down RG3 and his high flying Baylor offense it is hard not to believe in them to run the table.
For more bowl projections keep reading after the jump.
Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma- ou is going to be (unfortunately) ok, and is still the second best team in the Big 12 and will be a handful for any team they play this year.
Cotton Bowl: Kansas State- I still think that despite being exposed the wildcats still have an excellent shot at finishing third in the Big 12 as K-State only needs two more wins out of 4 games to get 9, which I think will be more than enough to get Dallas.
Alamo Bowl: Texas- I've said this most of the season but I still think that there is a pretty big drop off between the 3 and 4 teams in the Big 12. I liked what I saw out of Texas against KU, but you have to remember it is KU. But after seeing Texas Tech get taken to the woodshed by Iowa State and seeing the return of A&M's 4th quarter demons I think that Texas may just be the 4th best team in the Big 12.
Insight Bowl: Texas A&M- Texas A&M had Missouri right where they wanted them and they let the game slip through their hands and showed they are now where near over their 4th quarter demons, but they are just a game away from getting to a bowl and still have kansas left on their schedule.
Holiday Bowl: Baylor- RG3 is hands down the best player in the Big 12 and he leads the second best offense in the Big 12, but if their defense doesn't improve they have no chance of winning a Big 12 championship.
Texas Bowl: Texas Tech- It takes a lot of work to get blown out by Iowa State but the red raiders were clearly up to the challenge.
Pinstripe bowl: Missouri- The tigers took a big step towards bowl eligibility on Saturday in beating Texas A&M, but the Tigers will still have to pull up off an upset of somebody before they finish off their last season in the Big 12 in Arrowhead against kansas.
