I saw that earlier
Don’t you think $40 is a bit steep for a basketball ticket. I know we’re good and any tickets are hard to come by, but are we really “that good”? I could see $30, but seriously it’s Colorado, and you could have bought 3 or 4 football game individual tickets for under $40. I for one wouldn’t consider going to a game for $40.
first off, whoops
This was meant to be in the CU single ticket sales post.
Secondly, my last football game was at North Texas. The road ticket was $35. I have season football tickets, but I’m pretty sure UCF was advertised at $35 and I know that for Homecoming Alumni members could get $20 or $25 tickets for the OSU game. Pretty sure all the other non-con games were under $40. But a six game season ticket package at the young alumni price I pay works out to be almost $32/game. Point is, we’re playing at best the 9th best team in the big 12 in Colorado…is it really worth $40?
I suppose I could have written my statement above more clearly…I’m pretty sure 3 or 4 different football games had tickets starting at $35 or less.
Ok that makes a little more sense...
If people are willing pay it, then it’s worth 40 bucks.

Not trying to call you out, really...
just the statement you made is a pet peeve of mine.
To me it’s kind of a cop out, you could essentially say that about anything: “it’s only worth what someone’s willing to pay”. Only time I buy into that phrase is when you are talking about an auction.
I guess then since I’m not willing to shell out $40 a ticket (if I took my wife that’d be $80, and add in the drive we’re over $100 just for a basketball game) it’s not worth it. I must be in the minority then to think that the leftover seats are worth $40. It’s Kansas State, not the Eastern Seaboard where that might be usual. I’d be interested to know if the ticket office has them all sold by tip-off.
