OK, there really isn't much to say about this game.
Savannah State's only won two games all season, and only one of those was over a Division I team.
But the Tigers do have a pretty good defense, holding most teams in the 60s and only yielding in excess of 70 points twice, in spite of playing most of their games in other people's arenas.
That said, this obviously is a team we should beat. Ideally, I'd like to hold them to between 50 and 60 points. That would be a good sign for our defense entering Big 12 play, IMO.
Tonight, of course, is the return of Jacob Pullen. If I was Frank, I'd bring him off the bench, but it sounds like he might start. Whatever — that's coach's prerogative.
Either way, we're getting our best scorer and best defender back, but he'll be re-entering a team that has started to find its way without him. Managing the chemistry without damaging the fledgling confidence of the freshmen and sophomores will be key.
It should be interesting to watch it start to take shape tonight. The stretch run begins...
