K-State's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week continued with yet more non-conference opponent disappointment.

Gonzaga (how the hell did we ever beat the Bulldogs, anyway?), James Madison and UMKC rolled to home victories over weaker conference opponents, but the Cats received no other non-Big 12 help.

Loyola's slide continued and the Ramblers now are 1-6, North Florida dropped a home game to fall to 2-4, Presbyterian dropped a road game to fall to 2-4, Virginia Tech blew a huge lead at North Carolina and ended up losing by three, and Washington State went to overtime and lost its third Pac-10 road game in three tries.
