RPI WATCH: 1/11/2011
Stop the presses! Alcorn State finally won a basketball game this season!
Now it's time for the Braves to rip off a long winning streak and win their conference, just like Arkansas-Pine Bluff last year, right?
Yeah, we'll see about that. Right now, I'd be happy with them just getting to .500 in conference play somehow.
On the flip side, North Florida's pretty much falling apart, having lost eight of their last nine.
Yes, the Ospreys played a tough road schedule, but they're not even beating marginal conference opponents at home.
I expected a little better from a team that was able to win at Wyoming, a team that since has defeated New Mexico.

We could really use a "signature" win right now.
It seems we are fast becoming everyone’s “signature win”. I for one am sick of it. If it doesn’t stop I will continue to be disgusted right here from my couch. Just with more angst.
Unfortunately, our next two opportunities are in tough road venues.
Could be a while. I’m betting on Feb. 14, but that’s just blind optimism.
I prefer blind optimism in sports
it requires less investment by the holder of the optimism than the founded variety. :-D
