I know I might get crucified for this, but I would like the Brown brothers to wait to play.
Find out why after the jump...
I always wanted to say that!
Ok there is no real words of wisdom here and I'm a marginal writer at best. Also, I posted most of this as a comment to another fanpost, but I decided to up the ante anyway, sorry. Enough self deprecation, here we go:
Why for the love of all that is holy would we want to burn a year of eligibility with Brown?
This year I think we need to just focus on a bowl. Next year we’ll have Billy Cosh (or one of the the other guys will pull their head out), Bryce Brown, Andre McDonald and Chris Harper on O and Ty Zimmerman, Tate Snyder, Brandon Herald, Randall Evans and Arthur Brown on D. All guys with two or more years in them. When you think about having three years with all but Herald and Brown, OMG! There will be a drop off on the O-line next year, but our backfield is studded enough and should be productive while they get a year under their belt.
Let’s just say I’m hopeful this year, excited for next, but I start bouncing off the walls when I think about 2012. Think 2003 without Ell missing any games. If we can avoid the injury bug, it won't be the Kool-Aide talking...boing boing boing.
Which is just proof that the world WILL end in December 2012, we’ll be undefeated getting ready to play in the national championship and poof. And as I crawl out of my concrete bunker I’ll shake my fist north, because somehow I’m sure it will be Nebraska’s fault. If we see 2013 I may just stroke out anyhow so it’s a push.
Don't take 2012 away from me. Mr. Brown, please be patient. Take a student loan, you'll be able to pay it back with your, and/or your brother's, Sunday Money.
