Samuels, Russell to Compete in European All-Star Tour
Rising junior Jamar Samuels and sophomore Nick Russell will participate in a nine-day tour of France and Switzerland with the East Coast All-Stars beginning today.
The pair, along with eight other collegiate players, will spend nine days traveling through Europe beginning Friday in Geneva and ending August 15 in Paris.

If this plays out the same way it did last year with Pullen and Sutton
…then Samuels will become our best player this year and Russell will end up transferring.
Jamar might end up our best player anyway.
He is remarkably athletic. Consistency is the thing he needs to improve most, and that is something that generally comes with experience. And he should get more minutes with Sutton transferring out. I would probably start him at small forward, in fact.

Let’s hope during this European tour he learns (or gains confidence) with his drive to the hoop and finally just embarass someone like we all know he can do. “Remarkably Athletic” doesn’t represent the potential he has.
