Weibert Named Candidate for Rimington Trophy

Kansas State senior center Wade Weibert was named to the watch list for the 2010 Rimington Trophy, which honors the most outstanding center in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), the award's committee has announced. Weibert, who is the first Wildcat to be up for the award since Nick Leckey was a finalist in 2003, is coming off a season in which he started all 12 games, including 11 at center. He helped the K-State rushing attack gain 179.9 yards per game in 2009, which was the third-most in the Big 12 last season.
