Kansas State running back Daniel Thomas picked up his sixth preseason honor Wednesday, when he was named a candidate for the 2010 Doak Walker Award, the PricewaterhouseCoopers SMU Athletic Forum has announced. The award, which is presented annually to the nation’s top college running back, is in its 21st year and is named after SMU’s three-time All-American running back Doak Walker.
