Iraqi Vet Big 12 Tour
Hi again all, I posted this a couple of months ago and got a little feedback but figured I would post again in case anyone missed it:
Hi my name is Paul Derrick Im a 25 year old Iraqi War vet from Houston, Texas and this year I have decided to do a once in a lifetime experience, I am going to watch a football game in every Big 12 stadium this year. I have never watched a Big 12 Football game live and am totally looking forward to this experience. As a Us Army Veteran I traveled all over the world and now I think it's time to see beautiful BIG 12 country and everything it has to offer, especially since this could be the last year. You can see some details of my upcoming trip on www.thebig12tour.com and can contact me if need be at pderrick@thebig12tour.com .
The reason I am writing though is I was wanting to see if anybody had any ideas or things that might make my trip to the campus better or maybe someone has an open spot in their tailgate party and would like to show me what Kansas State tailgating is all about. Also if anybody has the inside scoop to buying tickets please let me know as this is definitely the biggest expense to my trip.

Well, you better do it this season
Because it looks like some of them won’t be Big 12 stadiums in 2011.
Awesome idea!
I’m already jealous of you cause this sounds like an awesome idea, especially since there might not be a Big 12 for much longer, although I’m still hoping.
I’ve been in the marching band for three years so I haven’t tailgated for a game yet, but, bias aside, watching the band during the pregame march on the west side of the stadium is one thing you need on your list.
Another is to visit Call Hall on campus and get some ice cream. I’ve had it far too many times but it is so good and I still enjoy it every time.
I don’t think I could give you much other help but I like the schedule that you have set up for this coming year and will try to read the blog during the year.
Thanks for the opportunity to think about football in the fall again!
GO STATE!!!!
Good luck Paul
I live in Manhattan, and I will agree with wabasher that you should go to Call Hall to get some ice cream, and eat at So Long Saloon (get a burger or bisonburger) while you’re here. I don’t think I will be going to any games, but I will be sure to let you know if I do.
