Welcome Back to Kansas City

Welcome one and all to the City of Fountains for this year's Big 12 men's and women's basketball tournaments!

Two years ago, when the tournament was here, I did a long post as a guide to Kansas City for visiting fans.  I didn't have time to do that this year, but feel free to use the comments section to ask questions, discuss the tournaments, or talk about anything else.

It's good to have the tourney back in KC.  I'm looking forward to a good week.

Unfortunately I won't make it up to KC from OKC but

they are televising all the games not on ESPN here locally so
at least I can watch it all on TV!

I'm planning on going down mid-afternoon on Thursday

in hopes to scalp a ticket to the evening session for cheap. If nothing turns up, I’ll just watch the game from a bar. Though, I’m also holding out hope some tickets sprout from that magic tree I planted in my yard last year.

So far it’s only given me a Steve Balboni rookie card and an old Montreal Expos jersey.

It won't be, but if...

…tomorrow’s evening session is like today’s evening session, you’ll be able to name your price for pretty good seats. I was trying to sell two seats in the lower level, and couldn’t even find a buyer. Now, with K-State and some other good draws in the games tomorrow they’ll be harder to come by, but I would think you’ll find something.

We'll carry the banner high!

Yep

Find a Mizzou fan or an ISU fan. They’ll be selling.

You mean Oklahoma fans didn't travel?

Shocking…

Surgeon General's Warning: K-State-Mizzou basketball may increase the risk of high blood pressure. Please consult your doctor prior to watching any of these games.
