Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

RPI WATCH: 3/5/2010

In Thursday night's episode of "As K-State's Non-Conference Turns...", there was a decent amount of drama.

Ole Miss clung to its fading tournament hopes by beating pitiful LSU, which is a damn sight better than what its in-state counterpart did against Auburn. "So you're saying there's a chance?" continues to be the mantra in Oxford.

On the other hand, Dayton's hopes completely imploded for good with a road loss to Richmond. Unless the Flyers win the A-10 tourney, their mantra is, "N-I-T, yeah, you know me."

Washington State continued its slide toward putrescence by losing at sub-150 RPI Oregon State, while Arkansas-Pine Bluff continued its slow climb back to respectability with its 14th conference (and overall) win.

And South Dakota won a thriller in Vermilion, but does anyone really care what South Dakota does at this point? As an independent in basketball, it's more irrelevant than Notre Dame football.
