Around SBN: SB Nation MMA Rankings for August 2010

RPI WATCH: 3/14/2010

Three K-State opponents fell short in their conference tournament's final game — Boston U., UNLV and Xavier.

The latter two probably will make it in as at-large teams, but the former is out of luck. Life's tough in the one-bid leagues and, unfortunately for the Terriers, the Vermont program appears to be back.

But how's this for a silver lining? The Golden Lions are dancing!

That's right — the sad little SWAC team that started its season 0-11, had never made a conference final and never has been to the NCAA Tournament (hell, UAPB only became Division I a few years ago) now likely will appear in the play-in game at Dayton on Tuesday.

So at least someone was happy last night...

Hooray UAPB.

I always had a feeling their murderous non-con with no home games would help them in their conference.

Either helped or destroeyd

I guess it helped! That is awesome for UAPB. I just can’t wait for them to scare some #1 seed.

They really werent

All that bad, they just played a ridiculous amount of non-confrence games on the road and they didn’t play bad they didn’t get completely blown out by a lot most of those games and they certianely didn’t give up aganist us. EMAGL

And on the 3rd year he rose again...

K-State was best #2 in the Tourney

Having analyzed the brackets now it is clear that KSU received the top #2 seed in the Tourney. The lower half of the West Bracket is perhaps the easiest and they have the weakest #1 seed. All in all we should be happy.
