We have to beat KU and Duke has to slip up. Then we can start validating a #1 seed.
With all this 1 seed talk, are we now a lock for a 2 seed?

But win the ones we’re supposed to (e.g., all of them except KU), and we’re one for sure.
I hope that holds up
That is the easiest 2,3,4 seed combo for KU ever. Purdue can’t score without Hummell, we already murdered Temple on their floor this year too.
Even more interesting
In the poll just below the piece, they ask which team deserves the fourth #1 behind KU, UK, and Syracuse — and the poll results so far have us basically neck-and-neck with Duke, well above the rest of the contenders. Specifically, about 1/3 of the readers who voted think we’re a #1 seed.
I am entirely unused to that sort of national respect…
