when he was operating it "properly", yes...
as opposed to fall-away 3-pointers and throwing it to the bench.
I still REALLY like Denis taking his man on the dribble to the lane-below-the-FT-line and tossing that floater in – or passing to Judge/Kelly/Samuels/et al for a jam if the big man commits up…

I love
how much Denis pushes off. Seriously, even when he’s moving without the ball, he is extremely physical. If he were an opposing player, I’d be pissed that he isn’t called for it more. But as a K-State fan I absolutely love that he plays that hard every time down the court.
I have noticed opposing coaches
asking the referees for that call lately… *crosses fingers *

I think because Denis is so fast....
it appears he is pushing off, but honestly I don’t think any of them should be called. Contact is going to happen when you are speedy gonzalez. What bothered me in this game was Dom getting another BS technical. He was obviously fouled and I don’t think the NU player even was touching the ball, yet a jump is called. Plus Dom initiated nothing, he just stood his ground. The most pathetic thing was how the dunce fans still boo something like a double technical lol.
Wildcat for life
To me, it appeared
as though a foul on NU should have been called but wasn’t – a dual-possession instead – which elicited Dom’s reaction. That reaction was borderline Technical Foul worthy. Not sure why all that resulted in double-Tech’s…

No doubt
that enters into it, because in most cases, it has no affect on the game and flow. The other player is usually crowding as well. Whenever Denis has appeared to gain a real advantage he usually gets called.
I can’t understand Sutton’s tendency to get into a fighting mood so quickly. He has to separate hard play from dirty play and he doesn’t seem to get the distinction.
I still think officials tire very quickly of Kelly’s histrionics on nearly every call that goes against him, even when they are very obvious. I think it comes back to haunt him (and his teammates) in the late stages of games.
