Clemente Earns National Honor from USBWA
Senior Denis Clemente was named the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week on Tuesday in an announcement by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
Clemente, who was named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Player of the Week for the second time in his career on Monday, helped the Wildcats to a pair of road wins over Nebraska (76-57) and Iowa State (79-75) this past week.
He averaged 26.5 points on 50-percent shooting (16-of-32), including 64.7 percent (11-of-17) from 3-point range, in the two wins, with 4.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 36.0 minutes per game.
He also went a combined 10-of-10 from the free-throw line.
