A thought came to me as I came to terms with what it means that Will Spradling is starting nine games into this season: Who will we remember more fondly in ten years Denis Clemente or Will Spradling?

I fully accept that with Denis around running the point for this year we would will more games, but just what do we have in Will Spradling?  Lets think about this Will has been handed the keys to this team 9 games into his career.  Jake Pullen even had to sit behind Clint Stewart his freshman year.  I doubt that Will Spradling will ever erupt for 44 points against Texas, but I think that he is going to leave K State as a very high scorer simply for his jump shooting if nothing else.  And I also think that he will leave here with easily the best assist to turnover ratio out of all these gourds in the recent renaissance.  So I ask you if having Denis for another year, meant that Will Spradling signed elsewhere would you do it?
