K-State Handed First Loss at No. 18 Iowa

The Kansas State women's basketball grabbed a 29-25 halftime advantage at 18th-ranked Iowa on Sunday, but a second-half surge by the Hawkeyes handed the Wildcats their first loss of the 2010-11 season, 68-62, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Kansas State (6-1) was led by sophomore Brittany Chambers’ 20 points, 16 of which came in the second half, while junior forward Jalana Childs pitched in 18 points and six rebounds, and sophomore guard Taelor Karr notched 17 points.
