It was an immensely enjoyable game to attend. Yes, we were pretty far from the field. Yes, it was probably 45% capacity. But it was a fun venue, easy to get to, and done really in a first class manner. Now to the game...

First of all, KSU seemed to have about 20 more people on the sideline than Cuse did. No one around me could figure out why though.

I live in and love NY but the Rock of Ages halftime show didn't really show why,,,

Haven't read the gamethread but I assume a bunch of these points have been discussed ad nauseam so I'll stick to just my main point - going for it on 4th and 6 wasn't such a bad decision, but the way they did it was just atrocious. Cherry had missed a relatively short FT already and the weather wasn't conducive to kicking so I don't blame Snyder for not throwing him out there to kick (though a made FG would have made it a 2 point game and the TD would have thus won it as long as the defense would have made ONE stop afterward). But they should have just lined up for 4th down with the offense instead of a really low percentage fake FG play.

I've ragged on Coffman as much as anyone and make no mistake about it he missed an open receiver on the 2-point conversion, but he shouldn't take any blame for the loss. I think it may have been his best game as a Cat.

The defense was as bad as advertised. Cosh needs to go.

The taunting call was without question the worst officiating decision I've ever seen in person. After the game even Syracuse fans mentioned that it was the worst call they'd seen. If you're going to adhere so strictly to the rules then the Cuse player who pushed Hilburn eight yards in the endzone should have been flagged for a late hit. Just a horrible decision and a truly unfortunate way to influence an otherwise wonderful game.
