Just got off the phone with John Currie. Said K-State has already requested extra tickets on top of allotment of 2,300 for Pinstripe Bowl 6 minutes ago via web

Answer: Enough.

It’s Yankee Stadium. Won’t take that much purple to make it look well attended, IMO.

The sad thing is I actually have the vacation days taken already

and a place to stay for free in New Jersey, but I’m too damn poor to afford airfare, tickets or miscellaneous costs. Go figure.

How many does Yankee Stadium hold anyway?

I’m guessing somewhere around 44,000? Didn’t look like they added much extra seats from the little clips I saw on the Army-ND game, except by the foul polls along the baselines. So I doubt capacity is any more than 47,500 or so….so maybe a better question is, do you think 23,000 K-stater’s will show up? I think Syracuse would be interested enough to do that much considering their proximity. It’d be cool to see a good 50/50. I think 23,000 is reasonable, considering numbers are usually like 35-40,000 at Texas bowls, and 30-35,000 to Tempe/San Diego.

Ok, Army-ND attracted

54,241, which I’d still say a 30,000 Syracuse to 24,000 K-stater split would be very, very doable/impressive. I truly think there are a decent number of people out there (although they’d also have to not be affected by the recent economic struggles) that do store away some money for Bowl trips, and probably have some change stored up for not going the last 3 years that going to NYC is doable. Regardless, it’s helped me figure out what to do with my remaining days of vacation…take of the 30th so I can catch the 2:30 kick-off!

Random side note: For being a low on todem pole bowl, Pinstripe bowl has a nice logo/graphics package. Steinbrenner’s have some good graphic designers (surprise surprise)

All I want for Christmas

Is an 8th football victory on the season!!! That’s where UCF finished last year, look at ’em now!!!

Oh and...

A healthy Tramaine Thompson. A long shot I know, but still. I would also take news that Chris Cosh is coaching his last game under Bill Snyder.

$45 is the lowest ticket price

And because I want to go but know I cant afford it, I went ahead and looked at flight prices. A person can get a round trip ticket for $344 if you leave Dec 29 and come back Dec 31. I am way to poor to pay for a hotel longer then that. So I would say about $600 for ticket, plane, hotel (a junk one). But knowing myself I would blow so much pointless money that I really cant afford to go.

You might be able to convince some bedbugs to help with the hotel expenses.

Oh hell.

Totally forgot about those. Thanks Madcat.

Yea, I learned my lesson the hard way

selecting a cheap hotel in large city’s downtown (Chicago). Probably won’t ever go that route ever again in my life. $27/day parking didn’t help the worthy cause either.

I may not be able to go.

But it will be somewhat awesome to watch us play in Yankee Stadium nonetheless.

A quick prediction

The Syracuse RB, Delone Carter (1035 yds on the season) will run for 200 yards.

Hell, that isn’t even a prediction.

How about this, Carter runs for 200 yards in the FIRST HALF!

Fire Chris Cosh!

(Sigh) Probably true

I think you or I could run for 200 yards on this D…
