Bill Snyder is frustrated by the defense. Good to know he's in that club.

K-State rolled to an easy win over Emporia State, 85-61. In the game, Jacob Pullen became the all-time leader in three-pointers made at K-State.

As mentioned by KSB yesterday, TCU will join the Big East in all sports starting in 2012. And as I mentioned in the comments section, I don't believe this has any effect whatsoever on the Big 12 going forward.
Berry Tramel writes that Oklahoma will have a crowded bandwagon when it takes on Nebraska Saturday in the Big 12 Championship Game. Money quote time:
Hey, Huskers. The Big Ten is a great conference that offers lots of money and lots of intriguing competition. Nobody blames you for going.
We blame you for losing your class.
Peter discusses dealing with rumors.
An Alabama employee who played "Take the Money and Run" and "Son of a Preacher Man" before the Auburn/Alabama game last week has been fired. In the 1980s, he would have been given a raise.

Bingo...and you can say that again.
“It’s easy to say we’re young and all that, and whatever else you can possibly say,” Snyder said. “But that’s why they have coaches, is for me and the rest of our coaches to get them prepared to do the things they need to do, and we just haven’t done that.”
Really? Did not see it coming?
“What did he have, five, 600 yards, somewhere in that vicinity?” coach Bill Snyder said. “We probably made him a little bit better than he is, but I think he’s a tremendous player.”
Snyder clearly is growing weary of watching opposing runners shred his defense, which now has allowed more rushing yards than any K-State defense since 1989.
“I’m upset by it,” Snyder said. “It’s not something I would have expected to take place.”
So Snyder is time to trim the fat yet?
I will never, EVER hum Boomer Sooner. Screw Bob Stoops
And I think the OU band is the worst on Earth. They play one short song, constantly. It drives me nuts. Nuts to point where if I ever have the misfortune to go to a game with the OU band, I think I will prepare a stink bomb and lob it into the middle of their section and force their band away so I don’t have to hear that goddamned song.
Can you tell I really dislike OU? But I dislike NU more. I hope OU crushes the whiny little girls.
Fire Chris Cosh!
If both teams could lose, I would root for it, but
A blowout of Nebraska will just be so satisfying. I’ll be rooting if not humming or singing
Bitchslapping Texas since 1997
There is one thing that could be more satisfying than a blowout:
OU winning by 1 point on a last second field goal.
with the 1 second being put back on the clock!
oh hail the Purple and White
There was a week in my life where I heard "Boomer Sooner" in my sleep
Hate that Boomer Sooner song. I was at the game on Oct. 21, 1971, when OU beat us (in Manhattan) 75-28. OU ran it up on us in revenge for KSU having beaten them 2 years in a row prior to that game. And the fact that when we beat them 59-21 in 1969, that was OU’s worst loss ever. I think I heard that song for a week in my sleep. This was the most miserable football experience I ever had as a fan, that beat down. It was a track meet for OU.
oh hail the Purple and White
I wish the OU band was leaving for the Big 10 or Pac 10.
Hail to the Purple, Hail to the White
Wildcat in spirit, Wildcat in fight
Hail Alma Mater from sea to sea
Onward forever, Hail Victory!
Or a mission to Mars.

ROFL
Went to fix a cup of tea at work (semi-frozen tundra of NE) and overheard discussion by UNL fans.
1)Championship game not worth going to because UNL is not supposed to win and it is a long drive.
2)Even if OU doesn’t beat UNL, the refs won’t let UNL win.
3)Counter point, the other fan was asking where is your optimism?
I’m amused … the conspiracy theories start before the game….

This game will be the first (and ONLY) time I will EVER root for OU while Bob Stoops and Brent Venables are there.

Same here
I was pulling hard for OSU, but this will have to do. I"m almost tempted to buy tickets to the game just so I can cheer as loud as possible for OU, but since it is Bob Stoops, I feel pretty good about refraining from that impulse.

yea same here too
As much as I hate it…it’s really the lesser of two evils. Behind KU, most hated institution is either OU or NU, just depends who’s having the better season…or as was the case with the old format, whether or not we had to play OU. Both fan bases are equally as arrogant, but I think Neb takes the cake if they’re having an equally successful season.
Thoughts on Pullen surpassing Mike Evans as career scoring leader
I posted this at the end of last nights game thread, but I think it deserves some thought:
I know that records are meant to be broken, but I hope that Pullen does not break Evans’ record. Here’s why:
Evans played before the 3-pt line. If Evans had the 3 pt line, he would have scored another 25% over what his total is now. Evans range was incredible; the best offensive guard K-State has ever had. He could hit the long range jumper; but more importantly, his mid range jumper (12 feet – 15 feet) was incredible too. The mid range jumper is a skill set that most players today don’t have. Coach Knight harps on it for a reason, and Jake has not shown that he has that shot.
Evans played far fewer games than Pullen.
Jake is a better defensive player, and he’s in my top ten favorites of Wildcat players. But in reality, he doesn’t belong in the same sentence as far as an offensive threat compared to Evans. Evans was that good. Having said all this, Jake’s performance against Xavier in the Sweet 16 goes down in my book as the single most courageous effort that I can remember by a Wildcat hoopster. If Evan’s record is broken someday, I hope it is by a player who is truly special with his offensive skill sets.
Also, does anyone have a history of the distance on the 3 pt line in college hoops? I know for a long time it was drawn right at the top of the key (same as women’s length today), but I think when Steve Henson was playing, it was actually NBA length (but I’m not sure on this). Henson could flat out shoot the rock!
Also, does anyone have the link to KSU record book for b/ball. I can’t find it on K-state’s unwieldy web site. That place sucks bigtime.
oh hail the Purple and White
Answer to my own question on distance of 3 pt shot
See this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-point_field_goal
I was wrong about the length when Henso played. It was actually closer than the length now, making Jake’s breaking of Henson’s record even more impressive, IMO.
oh hail the Purple and White
I was a boy when Henson was playing, but I seem to remember him spotting up from like 6-feet beyond the arc regularly.
Is this just the exaggeration of seeing things through a boy’s eyes, or was he regularly firing away from WAY behind the line?

both
he was (is?) a good shot from a variety of places on the floor. 6’ beyond the arc was not uncommon but not necessarily the shot for him.
Pregame was fun a couple of times in Bramlage with various dunks and such by Steve H.
