I thought it would be interesting to keep tabs on the current D-coordinators of the other schools of the candidates we talked about last week. I decided to keep it to just the D-coordinators, and exclude the positions coaches, as it's harder to quantify what affect say the secondary has on the defense as a whole of a team othere than say passing yards and attempts, but we all know they make tackles in the run game too. So here's how our nominee's teams' performed last week.
Tracy Claeys from UNI: Won 28-21, giving up 404 total yards to Western Michigan. Bringing their season totals to 18.7pts allowed per game, and holding their opponents to an average of 5.3yds per play.
Dave Doern from Wiconsin: Idle. 20.3 PA, 5.3yd/play
Andy Buh from Nevada: Won 56-42 over Utah State; lead at halftime 35-0, gave up 21pts in each of the 2nd half qtrs (second teamers?). 22.8PA, 5.7yd/play
Matt Wallerstedt from AFA: Lost to Utah 23-28 for a third straight loss in as many games against the top three teams in the MWC TCU-SDSU-Utah; shut out the Utes in the 4th qtr. 22.4PA, 5.5yd/play
Chris Cosh from KSU: You know the story. 25.6PA, 6.2yd/play
