I just wanted to thank the KSU fan base for their hospitality in Manhattan last night.
Heading in, I was expecting things to be pretty bad, but they just weren't. 90% of the K-Staters that I interacted with were polite and friendly. As always, the So Long Saloon with their raspberry bean dip was ridiculously good. Walking to the stadium, a couple of tailgaters offered us food, and we stopped to chat with a few. One guy even chased after us with some really good devil's food cupcakes.
Overall, I was impressed by the reception the Wildcat faithful gave us. Manhattan really is an excellent game day environment, and I'm really sad that I won't get to go there anymore.
Anyway, thanks for the memories. I know many of you don't mind seeing us go, but I was genuinely sad driving out of Manhattan for what will likely be the final time. Good luck to you the rest of the year, and I hope the new incarnation of the Big 12 works out for you.
