RPI WATCH: 1/31/2010
Despite poor performances by multiple non-conference opponents, the Cats' SOS shot up to No. 1 today — probably due mostly to playing That Team Atop the Big 12 Standings and its glowing 20-1 record.
The Good: Dayton got back over .500 in A-10 play, Pine Bluff moved to 6-2 and continues to tear it up after its non-con of death, Cleveland State slowly is inching back to .500, and South Dakota won a tough road game by a point.
The Bad: Loyola lost to Wright State, Western Illinois lost at home to Oakland, and Boston lost at Stony Brook to fall to .500.
The Ugly: Wazzu absolutely was shelled by a mediocre Washington team and fell below .500 in an atrocious Pac-10, and Alabama lost to horrendous Auburn. Both teams are disturbingly close to falling out of the RPI Top 100.
The Stunning: Fort Hays State finally lost to a Division II opponent, when Northwest Missouri State claimed the rematch at home.
As always, I will cover the Big 12 games in BIG 12 OUTLOOK tonight. For numbers, follow the jump.

So with the loss, is KSU still a possible 2 seed?
Not that it matters. Top 4 is all I care about really, I’m just curious.
I think we're going to have to beat KU at least once
In order to earn that, because that Texas win is losing steam with every passing week.
Wait, did you mean No. 2 seed in the Big 12 Tournament, or the NCAAs?
I was talking NCAA. We definitely can be a No. 2 seed in Kansas City if we run the table next month.
