Apparently, the TV truck was delayed in getting to Manhattan, so there is a delay to the TV broadcast.
Way to go, Fox. You’re always on top of things.

Cracker jack bullshit
Original truck couldn’t make it. Backup truck coming from Topeka.
Why couldn’t they delay tip time? I mean, seriously, it’s not like it’s on ESPN or anything.
Why couldn't the original truck make it? That's what I want to know.

I made it from Nebraska to KC last night...
…you’d think they could get to Manhattan.

I'm getting very, very ANGRY...

The only reason I'm not more pissed about this
is because it’s not a conference game.
But I’m still fucking pissed.
Glad as hell we don’t have to deal with this shit except for three more games.
Thought I was done with Wyattvision for the year. That’ll teach me.
FSMidwest, don't make us angry ...
You won’t like us when we’re angry.
Jake's already got nine...

Any indication when we will get the game?
Seriously, this is bull.
I guess I'll try the radio until halftime.
At least then I get a little bit more information.
Of course not.
We’ll pull back in the second half. In the meantime, Dom has 8 points before halftime. Wow.
Eff you, Fox. Epic Fail.

My friend just texted me a funny comment:
Said that if this was KU, they’d fly the truck in on Air Force One.
LOL
Fox Sports is the JV of sports coverage.
Seriously, ESPN doesn’t screw stuff up like this.
The crawl just changed:
“For those viewers expecting to see Kansas State men’s basketball, gotcha! Ha ha, fooled you!”
j/k
I don't know what's worse about this debacle..
The fact that they screwed this up so badly, or the fact that I have to watch one of these pathetic blooper/highlight shows that Fox plays over and over.
Seriously, who watches this shit? You have to have absolutely nothing to do if you’re interested in watching the “Best Damn Top 50” of anything.

No shit
Why the fuck couldn’t they delay tipoff? It’s not like there’s any other programming to worry about superseding. Who makes the call on that stuff? Because it should be us?
Meanwhile, can you picture Stan and Ben right now? They’re probably playing chess or parcheesi or something.
They just haven't turned stan on yet. He's on power saver mode right now.

If Dom can develop a good face-up game...
He will be an absolute monster.
If I could have given the players Christmas gifts
I would have given Dominique offense other than breakaways and putbacks.
I bestow Jamar with some shooting touch for his free throws and Denis enough judgment to not take those damn fadeaways he seems to have fallen in love with.

From K-Statesports.com
MANHATTAN, Kan. – FOX Sports Kansas City has had some technical difficulties and today’s game will have an undetermined delay. The uplink truck has made it to Manhattan, so the hope is the delay is not very long. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Bracket is going for Huggins' f-bomb record today

Dom closing in on a double-double
In the first half, no less.
And has equalled his career-high
I would kill to watch this.
Specifically, I would kill an FSN executive.
LOL
Good news, everyone! Those asinine morons who canceled us were themselves fired for incompetence.
And not just fired, but beaten up, too … and pretty badly.
In fact, most of them died from their injuries.
I love Monty Python...greatest comedy troupe of all time.

On a side note, they call these "third-tier" broadcasts
How utterly appropriate.
“Third world” would work, too.
Jamar off the board for the Kelly slam!
51-26!!!
A 50-point half, and nobody but the people in Bramlage got to watch it.
Beautiful. FSN is an abhorrent debacle slathered on top of blatant incompetence.
All right, it's almost an hour from tipoff
And the truck supposedly is in Manhattan. But still nothing.
This is no longer a “delay.”
It’s a mad epic fail.
For halftime discussion...
…thoughts on next Saturday’s trip to Columbia?

I've seen some Mizzery fans talking smack on the ESPN boards.
Some of them are calling for a blowout, even. They are in for a rude awakening. Other than Denis, the cats have hit their stride at the right time.
by AMS on Jan 3, 2010 1:01 PM CST up reply actions
It won't be a blowout
We might lose, but it will be close.
My gut feeling is that their home winning streak is about to end.
Epic Fail to the Third Power
Now our choices are to watch the World Cup of Pool on FSN, Bowling on ESPN, or Pool on ESPN2! Can it get any worse than this?
GO STATE!!!!
Yes, some of them could be showing NASCAR or drag racing.

Fear the Beard!
Back to back 3s to start the half.
And it sounds like Dom just had a great alley-oop, but I didn’t get to see it.
It won't last for long
If the freshmen play like they did against CSU.

That way I’d get to see some of the highlights.

At this point, I don't even care
The game is over. What’s the point of broadcasting it now?
I’d rather just see some kind of tape delay later on.
Dicks.
1 hour, 20 minute delay so far
Someone’s head better roll for this.
I want to see John Currie administer some old-fashioned torture, Braveheart-style.
According to the SID, apparently, they will re-air the game after this is over.

It seems like a good game to see.

Good
That’s something, at least.
But I want more.
I want anger from our administration.
If Currie isn’t at the forefront of pushing for reform and a Big 12 Network at the next series of meetings in Colorado Springs, something is seriously wrong.
I hope so. I'd like to see that happen.

It's not about winning
It’s about the principle of the fight.
Anyhow, I have a simple solution: Mind control.
I was thinking more along the lines of abducting Castiglione's daughter and holding her for ransom
Or maybe lacing Dodds’ drinks with pentathol. Something like that.
You're kidding, right?
We’ve been nails in every game in which it has mattered. The season average is low just because of the few bad games at the beginning.
It’s improving every game. Quit worrying about it. Texas has way more to worry about on that front than we do.
We're 7-12
Percentages are almost meaningless when you shoot that few.
Extrapolate it to our usual 30 attempts and it’s good for 18-20 extra points. That’s plenty sufficient.
Again my point...
And I am looking long term and a for a deep run in the Tourney on this thougt. Historically, the Final Four teams shoot nearly .800 from the charity stripe. In order to win the tight games in the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight you need to make nearly every attempt. If our team is on track to go to the line as the early season indicates, then we need to make as many as possible.
Look, it is what it is
We just have to do more on the defensive and rebounding end to make up for it. I think we can.
If it costs us, it costs us. Nothing you or I can do about it, so I’m not going to sit here and fret about it when we’re winning games by 30 now.
80-50
Matt just said we’re shooting better than 45% in 9 of 13 games this season.
It’s time for this myth of us being a bad shooting team to die.
How much time is left?

Looks like one of my favorite jokes
needs to be retired… The old “I/you should try out for our basketball team” when missing the trash can with a wad of trash.
Good riddance.
--VegasCat07
If you take out Denis' bad shooting day
We’re at 52% overall and 46% from 3.
by AMS on Jan 3, 2010 1:43 PM CST up reply actions
Really, more of a bad shooting half than a full day
I mean, he has double digits and 8 assists. I’ll take it.
He really has turned up his assists this year. That’s something to be very grateful for.

What blows my mind is that the Big Ten Network is run by, get this, Fox.

and said, “Fuck it.”
Just going to show the replay, I guess.
Sucks for all the people with Full Court and 360.

Damn, we're not gonna make it
Pulled off the gas pedal with the frosh too soon, I guess.
Oh, well. Good sportsmanship and all that.
91-69 final
Oh, well. It could have been worse and everyone knows it. We didn’t even get into the bonus. We make our usual amount of FTs and we go over 100 easily.
Looks like there are no "technical difficulties" with Florida-NC State
Replay won’t be on for two hours at least, since this is on now.
Wow, Wally was invisible
0 points, 0-4 from the field, 1 rebound.
We gotta start getting something from this kid or we’re going to lose some Big 12 games. He’s going to be the difference in close ones, not the free throws.
Notes
Jacob Pullen had 23 points, Dominique Sutton had a double-double and No. 12 Kansas State beat South Dakota 91-69 on Sunday to close out its nonconference schedule on a 10-game winning streak.
Kansas State (13-1) overwhelmed South Dakota from the opening tip and didn’t let up, dishing and dunking its way to the program’s best start since opening the 1918-19 season with 17 straight wins.
Pullen hit six 3-pointers, Sutton had 14 points and 10 rebounds and Curtis Kelly chipped in 15 points for the Wildcats, who take their longest winning streak in 16 years into Saturday’s Big 12 opener at Missouri.
While most of the attention in the Big 12 has gone to Kansas and Texas, the top two teams in the country, the Wildcats have put together the best nonconference season in school history.
Deep and athletic, Kansas State tied the 1993-94 team for the most nonconference wins and set a school record for best winning percentage. The Wildcats also tied a team record with their 12th straight win at Bramlage Coliseum—first time in a single season—and have won 23 straight nonconference home games.
Kansas State had four players in double figures by halftime to lead 51-26, closing it out with an off-the-backboard alley-oop from Pullen to Kelly that prompted forward Jamar Samuels to ask everyone on press row: "Did you see that?"
88 shot attempts today
More than 20 more than the next-highest, which was in the loss to Ole Miss.
Wow.
So, does anyone want to reopen the game thread at 10?
You know, so we can actually talk about seeing the game?
