Apparently, the TV truck was delayed in getting to Manhattan, so there is a delay to the TV broadcast.

Way to go, Fox. You’re always on top of things.

Cracker jack bullshit

Original truck couldn’t make it. Backup truck coming from Topeka.

Why couldn’t they delay tip time? I mean, seriously, it’s not like it’s on ESPN or anything.

Why couldn't the original truck make it? That's what I want to know.

Maybe I change to poll

to “Will we even get to watch one half of this game?”

Whaddaya think?

The only reason I'm not more pissed about this

is because it’s not a conference game.

But I’m still fucking pissed.

Glad as hell we don’t have to deal with this shit except for three more games.

Thought I was done with Wyattvision for the year. That’ll teach me.

Of course not.

We’ll pull back in the second half. In the meantime, Dom has 8 points before halftime. Wow.

Fox Sports is the JV of sports coverage.

Seriously, ESPN doesn’t screw stuff up like this.

I don't know what's worse about this debacle..

The fact that they screwed this up so badly, or the fact that I have to watch one of these pathetic blooper/highlight shows that Fox plays over and over.

Seriously, who watches this shit? You have to have absolutely nothing to do if you’re interested in watching the “Best Damn Top 50” of anything.

No shit

Why the fuck couldn’t they delay tipoff? It’s not like there’s any other programming to worry about superseding. Who makes the call on that stuff? Because it should be us?

Meanwhile, can you picture Stan and Ben right now? They’re probably playing chess or parcheesi or something.

I would have given Dominique offense other than breakaways and putbacks.
I bestow Jamar with some shooting touch for his free throws and Denis enough judgment to not take those damn fadeaways he seems to have fallen in love with.

From K-Statesports.com

MANHATTAN, Kan. – FOX Sports Kansas City has had some technical difficulties and today’s game will have an undetermined delay. The uplink truck has made it to Manhattan, so the hope is the delay is not very long. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

+1

Kelly and Jamar are both 3-5. That’s perfectly acceptable.

by BracketCat on Jan 3, 2010 1:45 PM CST up reply actions

You're kidding, right?

We’ve been nails in every game in which it has mattered. The season average is low just because of the few bad games at the beginning.

It’s improving every game. Quit worrying about it. Texas has way more to worry about on that front than we do.

by BracketCat on Jan 3, 2010 1:39 PM CST up reply actions

We're 7-12

Percentages are almost meaningless when you shoot that few.

Extrapolate it to our usual 30 attempts and it’s good for 18-20 extra points. That’s plenty sufficient.

by BracketCat on Jan 3, 2010 1:44 PM CST up reply actions

Again my point...

And I am looking long term and a for a deep run in the Tourney on this thougt. Historically, the Final Four teams shoot nearly .800 from the charity stripe. In order to win the tight games in the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight you need to make nearly every attempt. If our team is on track to go to the line as the early season indicates, then we need to make as many as possible.

by Catbacker98 on Jan 3, 2010 1:53 PM CST up reply actions

Look, it is what it is

We just have to do more on the defensive and rebounding end to make up for it. I think we can.

If it costs us, it costs us. Nothing you or I can do about it, so I’m not going to sit here and fret about it when we’re winning games by 30 now.

by BracketCat on Jan 3, 2010 1:55 PM CST up reply actions

80-50

Matt just said we’re shooting better than 45% in 9 of 13 games this season.

It’s time for this myth of us being a bad shooting team to die.

Notes

Jacob Pullen had 23 points, Dominique Sutton had a double-double and No. 12 Kansas State beat South Dakota 91-69 on Sunday to close out its nonconference schedule on a 10-game winning streak.

by BracketCat on Jan 3, 2010 2:21 PM CST reply actions

Kansas State (13-1) overwhelmed South Dakota from the opening tip and didn’t let up, dishing and dunking its way to the program’s best start since opening the 1918-19 season with 17 straight wins.

by BracketCat on Jan 3, 2010 2:21 PM CST up reply actions

Pullen hit six 3-pointers, Sutton had 14 points and 10 rebounds and Curtis Kelly chipped in 15 points for the Wildcats, who take their longest winning streak in 16 years into Saturday’s Big 12 opener at Missouri.

by BracketCat on Jan 3, 2010 2:21 PM CST up reply actions

While most of the attention in the Big 12 has gone to Kansas and Texas, the top two teams in the country, the Wildcats have put together the best nonconference season in school history.

by BracketCat on Jan 3, 2010 2:21 PM CST up reply actions

Deep and athletic, Kansas State tied the 1993-94 team for the most nonconference wins and set a school record for best winning percentage. The Wildcats also tied a team record with their 12th straight win at Bramlage Coliseum—first time in a single season—and have won 23 straight nonconference home games.

by BracketCat on Jan 3, 2010 2:22 PM CST up reply actions

Kansas State had four players in double figures by halftime to lead 51-26, closing it out with an off-the-backboard alley-oop from Pullen to Kelly that prompted forward Jamar Samuels to ask everyone on press row: "Did you see that?"

by BracketCat on Jan 3, 2010 2:22 PM CST up reply actions

Pullen and Sutton were the catalysts; Pullen with the jumpers and drives, Sutton on steals and dunks. They combined to score 26 points to match South Dakota’s total for the half.

by BracketCat on Jan 3, 2010 2:23 PM CST up reply actions

88 shot attempts today
