It was just one of those days...

As ugly as our loss was, it actually was topped by a few of the paltry performances turned in by some of our past and future opponents:

  • Loyola got destroyed at home by Valpo.
  • Dayton lost by a point at St. Joe's, a win that put the Flyers way behind the 8-ball in the A-10 race and might have cost them an at-large bid.
  • Wazzu got blasted by UCLA, and we all know how bad the Bruins are (although they seem to be improving, finally).
  • Colorado lost yet another road heart-breaker at Texas A&M.
  • Texas managed to top its poor effort on Big Monday with an even more embarrassing loss at UConn.
  • Nebraska got shellacked by Mizzou to fall to 0-4 in Big 12 play — and I don't think a 4-0 run from here, like we put together last year, is in the cards for Doc Sadler's bunch.
  • Iowa State got its shit rocked by KU.
  • OU, minus Willie Warren, laid down and died in Lubbock.

So I guess it could have been worse. Feel better yet?

Indeed they did

The Golden Lions are turning into a nice little story. If they can keep it up, they’ll be in Dayton for the play-in game.

IUPUI also looks like it’s running away with its league. Barring an upset in the Summit League tournament, the Jaguars will be dancing.
