K-State is one consistently motivated Curtis Kelly away from being truly elite.

In the busiest RPI WATCH yet, every K-State opponent except two saw some kind of action Saturday.

I'll cover the Big 12 results in more depth tonight with BIG 12 OUTLOOK, but in non-con action, here were the highlights:

  • The good — IUPUI beat Centenary to maintain its second-place standing in the Summit League; Fort Hays State beat Pitt State to remain undefeated against teams not named K-State; Washington State got back to .500 in Pac-10 play; and Xavier once again cemented itself as the premier program in the A-10 by beating fellow league leader Dayton at home. Pine Bluff and South Dakota also netted home wins.
  • The bad — Western Illinois lost again, deepening its hold on the basement in the Summit League; Ole Miss lost a heart-breaker at Tennessee to fall to 1-2 in SEC action; Dayton obviously lost; and Alabama continued its slide with a road loss in Fayetteville. Cleveland State also continued to suck, losing at Valpo.
  • The ugly — UNLV's home loss to atrocious Utah was completely embarrassing. Way to follow up that big victory in The Pit, Rebels. Sheesh.

Follow the jump for full details.
