Calling all SoCal Cats!

I'm looking for Southern California Wildcats fans! I've been living just north of LA in Santa Clarita for 6 years now and, this being my final year of grad school, finally have the time to see if we can get some K-State watch parties going. I checked on the alumni website and the only official Catbacker clubs that had been in the SoCal area have become defunct. I looked into starting one up to be listed on the alumni site but they want my money to do so and personally I might have to commit suicide if I thought some of my cash would eventually end up in Prince's pocket. If you live in Southern California, or know people interested in gathering on Saturday's when it is possible to watch K-State for a watch party, comment and leave an email address so I can try to get things moving for this coming football season.

Right along with that is our responsibility as KState fans to gather at the Rose Bowl on September 12th to turn the Rose Bowl Purple! I am planning on attending the game along with some of my brothers who will be flying out but I have no idea what section ot buy tickets in that will put us with other KState fans. I would rather sit in the nose bleeds with tons of purple than first row amongst that nasty baby blue crap! If you have any insight as to where the visitors section of the Rose Bowl is please let me know.

Go Cats!

Good luck with this

If those in other cities want to try and set up watch parties, do what Clubbzilla did and try to organize them.

I know that Houston and Dallas both have active alumni groups, so if you live in those two cities, just look them up (or I can provide you some contact info).

We'll carry the banner high!

I'll echo TB's sentiment

and offer Good Luck as well. I lived in LA for a summer doing an internship, and never met another K-Stater. But at least USC fans gave me proper respect.

From what I’ve heard in talking to other alumni and folks at the Alumni Association, there is a pretty good number of fans and grads in that part of the country. My aunt and uncle and some of their friends will be at the Rose Bowl. Wish I was going…

I lived in Saugus/Newhall for a while, and I knew a couple of K-Staters in the area. I had a buddy who lived in Castaic who was a KSU grad, I don’t know if he’s going or not.
