So now is not the time for NU administrators or fans to get distracted by the sheer, stunning misery of two Big 12 North schools – Iowa State and Colorado – and the tumult engulfing Kansas State. They’re the jokes of the league, and Nebraska better plan on beating them consistently in just about everything.

I'm going to refuse to give
whatever publication you linked to the joy of knowing they got one more visitor to their site. That statement is all I need to read. I understand that our AD administration is somewhat of a mess financially. However, your comment is about as to the point as you can get. We sucked at football, but the other revenue sports did well for us…research and facts are so useless when trying to make baseless assumptions.
I will say this about the article...
When speaking of the other Big 12 schools, Olympic sports and the other “non-cash cow” sports were mentioned. Yet, when making comparisons with Nebraska, I believe the author assumed a football-centric stance…which is probably why he was surprised that ukans’ total athletic revenue is higher than that of UNL.
